Rose-Marie  Kossowan
Rose-Marie (Brown) Kossowan is a BC artist whose paintings represent her own perspective depicting the natural rugged landscapes of British Columbia, city and rural communities, as well as still life. Her work also focuses on abstract ideas and surrealism.

Rose-Marie has been painting and exibiting her work for over 30 years in BC, where she has lived all her life. Residing in Prince Rupert from 1978 until 2004, her work was represented in gallerys and art exibitions all over north western BC. Rose-Marie's work can be best be described as moderate impressionism, however she also creates nonrepresentational abstract work. Her mediums of choice are oil on canvas, hardboard, and canvas paper well as watercolor on rag, and to some extent, acylics on canvas.

Rose-Marie is an Active Status member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and participates in juried exhibitions at the federation's gallery on Granville Island. Rose-Marie's work can also be found on display at Frames West Gallery in Langley. She is also a member of the on-line group of BC artists at myartchannel.com. Her work is held in private collections around the world.
